By Kunle Sanni –

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday arrived at the NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Kado, Abuja, to declare open the 66th Annual Conference of the Nigerian Economic Society (NES).

The three-day conference, with the theme “Rethinking Africa’s Development: Pathways to Economic Transformation and Social Inclusion in a Changing Global Economic Landscape,” brings together policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and social scientists.

According to the organisers, the forum provides a platform for Nigerian economists and allied experts to offer intellectual leadership in navigating the country’s pressing economic, social, and political challenges.

Discussions at this year’s event are expected to generate fresh ideas and strategies for inclusive and sustainable growth, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and broader continental development aspirations.
