Sisi Quadri’s death, a painful loss, says Oluwo of Iwoland

The traditional ruler of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu 1, has described the death of the Iwo-born Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, also known as Sisi Quadri as a painful loss.

The monarch said this when he paid a condolence visit to the late actor’s family in Iwo town.

The Oluwo, who arrived at the family house of the departed actor in the company of his aides, said Sisi Quadri’s death is confounding and inexplicable.

He said: ‘We cannot fathom why this happened, and we cannot interrogate God on this but can only give thanks for his (Sisi Quadri’s) life. This God who took him away is the same who gave him his acting talents, so we cannot query God but offer thanks.

“He (Sisi Quadri) was a shining star whose shine dimmed suddenly. It is such a painful loss; this is someone who left, and we will not see him again,” the king lamented.

The Oluwo, who throughout the visit sat next to the father of the deceased, urged him to take solace in the fact that though the late actor left early, he led an eventful life in the 44 years he spent on earth.

The deceased’s family expressed deep appreciation to the monarch for the visit.
