Son of Osun APC chairman recounts how father was murdered

Aregbesola Ogbara, the son of the slain Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Atakumosa East Central Local Government Area of Osun State, Chief Gbenga Ogbara, has recounted how some unknown gunmen killed his father in his presence.

In a short video clip obtained by our correspondent on Monday, the son of the deceased party helmsman, said that the assailants who entered into their house, asked of his father and on sighting him shot him at close range. 

The 16-year old boy who is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in the state said after shooting his father, they came to their window and shot at him too. 

Meanwhile, the state Chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun, has condemned the killing of Ogbara.

According to a statement issued by his spokesman, Kola Olabisi in Osogbo, Famodun stated that the assassination of Ogbara was wicked, callous, uncalled for, shocking and primitive.

He said for whatever reason, it is grossly improper to settle any rift with killing.

He called on the state Police Command to move with speed in unraveling whatever or whoever might be responsible for the killing.
