Soun commissions 5-star hotel, innovation hub in Ogbomoso

The Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege, on Saturday commissioned newly built facilities — Dreamz Suites & Hotel and Ennovate Lab — in Ogbomoso.

Commissioning the hotel located in a prime area of Aroje, the Soun emphasized that it marked the beginning of great and amazing developments in Ogbomoso.

He said the project, which began before his enthronement, was almost abandoned, but his efforts in encouraging Ogbomoso indigenes in the diaspora to return home and invest revived the interest of the US-based owner, Mr. Olufemi Leke. He assured that the gateway to development is now open and will lead to the town’s desired transformation.

“Today, I saw excellence. I was deeply impressed by the standard — it speaks of the Ogbomoso we are building together: world-class, forward-thinking, and rooted in values.

“This is just the beginning of what’s coming to Ogbomosoland. We are attracting visionaries, builders, and doers. Ogbomoso is rising — and everyone who aligns with purpose, discipline, and excellence will rise with it,” he added.

While also opening an innovation hub, the monarch praised Jesudamilare Adesegun-David of Ennovate Lab and his remarkable team for not only daring to dream big but also putting in the work to make it a reality.

He also thanked Tim Handorf for believing in Ogbomosoland.

“Your investment is more than financial; it is a statement that Ogbomoso is ready for global relevance. This moment is deeply personal — it aligns with the 25-year developmental vision we have for Ogbomosoland: a vision to see our town become a model city where global solutions spring from local talent,” he added.
