South Africa challenges FIFA’s three points deduction verdict

The South African Football Association is challenging FIFA’s decision to deduct three points.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) has expressed dissatisfaction with a decision made by a FIFA disciplinary panel, describing the ruling as “unprecedented.”
In a statement released on Monday, the association said the decision was handed down by a single-member panel without any explanation or opportunity for SAFA to present its legal arguments.
The statement reads in part: “As SAFA, we are deeply disappointed with this unprecedented outcome, noting that it was delivered by a single-member panel without reasons and without affording the Association an opportunity to present legal arguments.”
