The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has announced plans to convene a major stakeholders’ summit on Friday in Ibadan as part of its ongoing reconciliation and repositioning efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, scheduled for 10 a.m. at the party’s state secretariat in Oke-Ado, is being facilitated by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors loyal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It comes barely two months after the party held a widely praised leadership summit in Ibadan.

In a statement on Monday, the party’s publicity secretary, Olawale Sadare, said the APC in Oyo State is experiencing renewed unity under the leadership of the state chairman, Alhaji Olayide Abas, who has continued to enjoy broad support from stakeholders across the state.

Sadare explained that the summit is designed to further strengthen internal cohesion and ensure the party is better positioned for a stronger performance in the 2027 polls.

Expected at the gathering are former deputy governors; former and serving members of the National Assembly; former and serving ministers; former and current federal appointees; former and serving members of the Oyo State House of Assembly; and former and serving APC national, zonal, and state executive members.

Also invited are former first ladies, members of the elders advisory council, zonal APC leaders, former secretaries to the state government (SSGs), former chiefs of staff, former deputy chiefs of staff, former commissioners, former local government chairmen, vice chairmen, secretaries, and other past and present local government and ward-level party executives.

Sadare added that former heads of government agencies who are APC members are also expected to participate in the summit.
