‘Stop lying, you filed for divorce’ — Daniel Ademinokan fires back at Stella Damasus

By Tosin Brown –
Filmmaker Daniel Ademinokan has accused his ex-wife, Stella Damasus, of spreading falsehoods about their separation, stating that she was the one who filed for divorce.
Ademinokan criticised Damasus for using his name to attract attention and peddling misleading narratives despite their years apart.
In a series of Instagram stories, he wrote, “I usually don’t dignify nonsense with a response, but when silence gets mistaken for ignorance or guilt, it’s only fair to offer a quick five-minute reality check. Today’s your lucky day.”
Addressing her claims directly, he continued, “Dear Queen Mother, five years since the separation, three since the divorce, yet you still can’t let go. I’ve said nothing, seen nothing, done nothing since 2020. But somehow, I’m still living rent-free in your narrative.”
“Let me be clear: silence is not guilt. Distance is not weakness. But lies—especially ones I have receipts for—are a different story,” he added.
“I’ve watched you twist facts confidently, assuming no one’s paying attention. Now that you’ve mistaken grace for guilt, I advise you to choose your next story wisely because I came with footnotes,” Ademinokan said.
He further debunked Damasus’ claims, saying, “Let’s not rewrite history because the internet has a short attention span. You claimed you ‘found out about the divorce on YouTube.’ Lie. You claimed I signed and sent divorce papers without your knowledge. Another lie. Reality check—who filed for divorce? You did. That’s public record.”
Daniel Ademinokan and Stella Damasus were married for six years following his separation from actress Doris Simeon.
