The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, has warned Engineer Sarafadeen Abdulrasaq Adekunle Olayiwola against parading himself as a Mogaji of Ibadanland.
This was contained in a press release issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga, on Friday.
According to the statement, a resolution by the Committee on Chieftaincy Screening and Dispute Resolution at a meeting held on November 20, 2024, revealed that the certificate in Engineer Olayiwola’s possession was forged and therefore declared fake.
Furthermore, it was established that the said self-acclaimed Mogaji was never installed by any traditionally constituted authority.
The Olubadan-in-Council also met on Monday, May 19, 2025, and uncovered a number of infractions allegedly committed by Engineer Sarafadeen Adekunle Olayiwola.
Consequently, the Olubadan directed that he should henceforth cease parading himself as Mogaji of the Otepola Ibidapo Family, Moganna Compound, Isale Bode area of Ibadan.
“Failure to desist from parading yourself as Mogaji of the Otepola Ibidapo Family, Moganna Compound, Isale Bode area of Ibadan will attract necessary sanctions and appropriate legal action,” the monarch warned.
