To this end, the monarch called on the National Assembly to promulgate laws that will promote indigenous products/materials.

Addressing journalists at his eighth coronation anniversary in Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye noted that if the leaders promote indigenous goods, the indigenous company will grow thereby creating employment for the youths.

He said, “I’m using my eighth coronation anniversary to just celebrate anything indigenous based to celebrate our very own, everything that has to do with products from human resources, material resources to human capital development and to various companies that are very Nigeria in their thinking.

“I’m appealing to our leaders, enough of promoting foreign commodities, we are the ones killing ourselves in this country, so let us continue to encourage our own.

“We are appealing to our leaders it’s about time we were serious in this country enough to benchmark everything in dollars. Let us continue to encourage people to manufacture and encourage everybody to use our own.

“Our National Assembly members should promulgate a law that anybody who is coming to each chamber today with anything lower than 70 percent in their body and what you are seated upon should seven over 10.

“Don’t sit down to deceive us in this country seven over 10 should be our policy. The food you are eating in the morning look at it seven over 10 if we do that this country will be better and with that forces and pressure on the dollar will come down.”
