Sultan of Sokoto arrives Ibadan for Oba Ladoja’s coronation

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar III, has arrived in Ibadan for Friday’s coronation of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The Sultan’s media team confirmed the development in an online statement on Thursday.
“The plane of the Sultan, who was accompanied by senior counsellor Sultanate Council Sokoto and District Head of Kilgori, His Royal Highness Dr Mohammed Jabi Kilgori, touched down at the airport at 2:50 pm, and the President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) was received by Oyo State Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Mojeed Mogbonjubola; Deputy President-General NSCIA (South), Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo; and the Executive Secretary of the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), Professor Muslih Yahaya.”
Ibadan is already agog ahead of the event expected to be attended by many high-profile guests, including President Bola Tinubu.
