Sunkanmi Omobolanle eulogises late brother on posthumous birthday

Nigerian actor Sunkanmi Omobolanle, son of veteran actor Sunday Omobolanle (popularly known as Papi Luwe), has paid tribute to his late brother, Oluwanisola, a few weeks after his passing.

Sunkanmi took to his social media account to eulogise his brother on his posthumous birthday.

In an emotional post, he wrote:
“Happy birthday in heaven, my Oluwanisola. Your name still feels like a prayer, and your memory, a melody that never stops playing. Keep resting, my brother — and when the stars glow a little brighter tonight, I’ll know it’s you smiling down, still calling me ‘Idan mi.’”

The late Oluwanisola Ayomikun Omobolanle tragically passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 24. His death deeply affected the Omobolanle family, especially his parents, Peju Ogunmola and Sunday Omobolanle.

This marks the first time Sunkanmi has publicly spoken about his brother’s passing.
