Super Eagles coach Eric Sekou Chelle has named eight players from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in his squad for the upcoming international invitational tournament, the Unity Cup, set to take place in London later this month.
The tournament will feature Nigeria’s rivals Ghana, as well as Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago.
Topping the list is former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, currently with Kano Pillars.
Sources confirmed that newly crowned NPFL champions Remo Stars have two players included: Nduka Charles and Sikiru Alimi.
Other invitees are Isaac Saviour and Ifeanyi Onyebuchi (Enugu Rangers), Adamu Abubakar and Vincent Temitope (Plateau United), and Papa Daniel of Niger Tornadoes.
Papa Daniel was also part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
Coach Chelle, formerly in charge of Mali, said the tournament will serve as preparation for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in August.
