Super Falcons’ goalie Nnadozie makes FIFA’s shortlist for Best Goalkeeper Award

Super Falcons of Nigeria goaltender, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been nominated for the FIFA Best Goalkeeper Award.

The current African Goalkeeper of the Year was shortlisted alongside other prominent goalkeepers, including Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany, Gotham FC), Catalina Coll (Spain, Barcelona), Hannah Hampton (England, Chelsea), and Anna Moorhouse (England, Orlando Pride).

Nnadozie, who currently features for Brighton FC in England, was earlier in the year nominated for the Ballon d’Or award.

With her impressive performances for her English club, she has also been nominated for several awards in England.

Nnadozie inspired the Nigerian women’s team to clinch the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) for a record tenth time and played a key role in Paris FC’s Coupe de France victory — a parting gift to the French side after five years with them, before joining Brighton.

Voting for the awards is open to coaches, captains, media representatives, and fans registered on FIFA’s website until November 28, 2025.
