Supreme Court to deliver judgement on Kano governorship election on Friday

The final judgement on the Kano State governorship election case will be delivered by the Supreme Court on Friday, January 12, 2024.

The case involves Governor Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party and Dr. Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress.

The apex court notified all the parties in the case on Wednesday and instructed that each party should have no more than two lawyers present.

The case was heard by a five-member panel of the Supreme Court headed by Justice John Inyang Okoro in late December last year. The panel reserved judgment after listening to the arguments of the parties
