Tambuwal receives Amaechi, says court ruling strengthens ADC

Former Sokoto State Governor and Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, on Thursday received the African Democratic Congress (ADC) vice presidential candidate, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, and his delegation, describing the visit as a significant step toward strengthening the party and its political agenda.

Tambuwal congratulated Amaechi on his emergence as the party’s vice presidential candidate, expressing confidence that his experience in public service would further advance the ADC’s mission of providing credible leadership for Nigeria.

According to him, the meeting also provided an opportunity to deliberate on efforts to build a united and inclusive political platform capable of addressing the country’s challenges and deepening democratic governance.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives also welcomed Thursday’s judgment of the Federal High Court affirming the legitimacy of the Senator David Mark-led leadership of the ADC.

He described the ruling as a victory for the rule of law and constitutional democracy, saying it had resolved legal uncertainties surrounding the party’s leadership and would enable members to focus on strengthening the party.

“The judgment has effectively laid to rest all legal uncertainties surrounding the party’s leadership, allowing members to devote their full attention to strengthening the ADC and presenting Nigerians with a credible alternative founded on justice, inclusion, competence and national renewal,” Tambuwal said.

He urged party members to remain united and committed to the party’s objectives, expressing confidence that collective efforts would strengthen Nigeria’s democracy and advance the aspirations of its people.
