Nigerian R&B star Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has been tipped to become the first African female artist to win two Grammys in one night.
Tems, who is nominated in three categories at this year’s Grammys—Best African Music Performance for Love Me Jeje, Best Global Music Album for Born In The Wild, and Best R&B Song for Burning—has been predicted by Billboard to win two of her nominations.
Billboard forecasts that Tems will win two categories when the stars gather at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 2.
According to the prediction, Tems’ Love Me Jeje—a remake of Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 song of the same title—is expected to win Best African Music Performance, while her debut album, Born In The Wild, is tipped to win Best Global Music Album.
