By Tosin Omojola
Nigeria’s Enitan Oshodi has been unanimously elected as the President of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF) at the 2024 Annual General Meeting held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Oshodi, a former Commissioner for Youth, Sports, and Social Development in Lagos State, is now the only Nigerian currently presiding over a continental sports body.
His election follows decades of involvement in table tennis, both locally and internationally. Under his leadership as Commissioner, Lagos became a key destination for table tennis, hosting numerous high-profile events.
Oshodi has also served as Deputy President of ATTF and Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
His election makes him the second Nigerian to hold the ATTF presidency, after Engr. Segun George.
