Those culpable in bombing of Kaduna village will be punished – Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima has vowed that those found responsible for the bombing of Tudun Biri village, which resulted in the deaths of over ninety inhabitants, will face the necessary consequences.
He also guaranteed that the victims would receive excellent care via the Folako Initiative, which is set to launch this month.
He also assured that the affected community will be rebuilt.
Shettima made the announcement on Thursday, not long after paying the victims at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital a visit to express his condolences for the tragic event.
At least 85 civilians were killed in Kaduna State, in an air strike by the Nigeria Army during a Muslim religious celebration on Sunday.
The Nigerian Army has accepted responsibility for the death of the residents of Tudun Birni community in Igabi.
“The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sent us to commiserate with the people of Kaduna over the tragic incident. The calibre of people that are here with me is a testimony on how deeply touched the president was by the incident .
“The President was deeply touched by what happened. We would like to assure the people and government of Kaduna State that the government will take measures to protect and preserve the interest of our nation.
“The victims will be well taken care of under the Fulako Initiative which will commence by this month and this community will be the first to be rebuilt in the north west zone.
“All measures will be taken to ensure that future occurrences are averted. Government will go to the root of the issue and anyone found culpable will be punished accordingly,” he said.
