The Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Area in Ondo State, Andrew Ogunsakin, has initiated moves to engage the management team of Fuji star Abbas Akande Obesere following the disturbance that occurred during the artiste’s appearance at the Government Field in Okitipupa.

WESTERN POST had yesterday reported that Ogunsakin condemned the attack on the Fuji musician who was in town to entertain guests at a function.

However, in a statement issued by his press secretary, Tosin Ayejusunle, on Sunday, the council confirmed that three suspects linked to the incident have been arrested, a development the chairman said underscored his administration’s zero tolerance for disorderliness and hooliganism.

Ogunsakin said he has already reached out to Obesere’s camp and is working to facilitate a formal meeting with the artiste and his team.

The engagement, he noted, is aimed at addressing the incident thoroughly and preventing a recurrence.

He commended security agencies for their swift intervention, saying their professionalism helped restore calm and supported the ongoing investigation into the matter.

The chairman assured residents that his administration remains committed to sustaining peace and ensuring that public events within the local government are conducted in an atmosphere of order, respect and adherence to the rule of law.
