The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has pledged to mobilise 1.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Osun State in the 2027 presidential election, following the appointment of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the state coordinator of the president’s re-election campaign.
The council described Adeleke’s appointment as well deserved, expressing confidence in his ability to mobilise support for Tinubu across the state.
Reacting to Adeleke’s appointment, the council, in a statement signed by its Director-General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, pledged that all Accord Party structures in Osun State would work towards Tinubu’s re-election.
“We promise the president, just as Governor Adeleke said some time ago, that we will deliver 1.5 million votes to ensure his victory in the forthcoming presidential election,” it read.
It also urged residents to support Tinubu in the 2027 election, just as they supported Adeleke in the August 15 governorship election, adding that a vote for the president would also be an expression of support for the governor.
Adeleke’s appointment was contained in the list of members of the PBAT/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council released ahead of its inauguration scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, at 11 a.m. at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Tinubu was named chairman of the campaign council, while Senator Abdulaziz Yari was appointed director-general and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma secretary.
Other Osun indigenes on the list include APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, appointed deputy secretary, as well as former governor Adebisi Akande and former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, who were named advisers.
