Timetable for 2025 Lagos Council elections in circulation fake- LASIEC
The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has debunked the reports on a timetable for the 2025 Local Government election circulating on the social media, describing reports on the chairmanship and councillorship polls as fake.
This was contained in a viral statement signed by LASIEC Chairman, Justice Bola Okikiolu-Ighile (rtd) on Friday.
LASIEC said that the notice for the council election currently in circulation did not emanate from the Commission, urging political parties and other stakeholders to disregard it.
Declaring reports on the council poll timetable as false, Justice Okikiolu-Ighile (rtd), said that the election is guided by laws, adding that the process would be announced as stipulated by the law.
