Tinubu, APC governors to visit Imo for Uzodimma’s book launch, projects commissioning

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on September 30, 2025, lead governors and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Owerri, Imo State, to unveil a book authored by Governor Hope Uzodimma showcasing the party’s achievements in its 10 years in power.

The President is also expected to commission several key infrastructure projects executed by the Uzodimma administration under his 3R Government.

Speaking with journalists on Thursday after inspecting some of the projects slated for commissioning, Governor Uzodimma disclosed that preparations had been finalized to host the President and APC leadership at the newly completed Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC), Owerri.

Among the projects to be inaugurated are the reconstructed 26-kilometre Owerri–Mbaise–Obowo–Umuahia road, a new flyover linking Port Harcourt and Onitsha with improvements at the Assumpta Cathedral roundabout, and the ultra-modern EIICC.

“The APC is set to celebrate a decade of leadership in Nigeria with a significant meeting in Owerri, Imo State,” Uzodimma said.

“The meeting will launch and showcase a compendium detailing the achievements of the party as compiled by a dedicated team led by the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum.”

He added that residents of Imo are already jubilant ahead of the visit, which he described as a moment of showcasing performance and visionary leadership rather than promises.

Uzodimma expressed confidence in the quality of the completed projects, stressing that contractors were aware of his zero tolerance for substandard work.
