Tinubu arrives Maiduguri, attends chief of Army Staff conference

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Maiduguri, Borno State’s capital, for the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference.
His plane landed at the Air Force Base about 11:47 a.m. and he witnessed a brief military parade.
Governor Babagana Zulum, former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff, Minister of Defence Mohammed Abubakar, Senator Ali Ndume, and other dignitaries greeted him.
The president is also due to unveil 100 buses, including 50 electric cars purchased by the Borno State Government, to help locals cope with the loss of fuel subsidies.
President Tinubu will do so shortly after paying homage to Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai, the Shehu of Borno.
WesternPost reported that Tinubu departed Abuja for Maiduguri, Borno state capital to attend the Nigerian Army Annual Conference, as the Special Guest of Honour.
