Tinubu, Buhari failed Nigerians, APC time is up – Datti Baba-Ahmed

Datti Baba-Ahmed, former vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed Nigerians and that its time in power is over.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Friday, Baba-Ahmed criticised both President Bola Tinubu and his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, accusing them of poor governance and a lack of genuine commitment to national development.
“Buhari did not fight corruption. Neither will Tinubu ever do this,” he said. “APC is a lie, and going forward, I see APC losing the next election.”
He urged President Tinubu to reconsider any plans for re-election in 2027, saying signs of an impending loss are already clear. “I expect Tinubu to throw in the towel if he is that smart politician,” Baba-Ahmed stated. “Tinubu’s time has come.”
He also hinted at the emergence of two unnamed political figures who, he believes, pose a serious threat to Tinubu’s political future, calling them his “nemesis.”
Baba-Ahmed expressed optimism about Nigeria’s political future, saying he believes the people will soon unite to reclaim democracy and put an end to bad leadership.
“Nigerians will decide to come out and practise democracy for the first time,” he said. “And then bad leadership will begin to have no hiding place in Nigeria.”
