Tinubu calls for peace, unity on Armed Forces Remembrance Day

President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to honor the sacrifices of ex-servicemen and women who gave their lives to safeguard the nation’s territorial integrity and promote global peace.

In a statement posted on his X account to commemorate the Nigerian Armed Forces Remembrance Day on Wednesday, Tinubu highlighted the importance of unity and peace in addressing the nation’s current challenges.

“Our nation is in dire need of peace, and so is the world. As we mark this solemn event today, remember that people laid down their lives, and many still do, to guarantee our peaceful co-existence,” he stated.

The President called on Nigerians to reject violence and divisive tendencies, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to promote national harmony and development.

“Let us all become ambassadors of peace. Together, we can build a future of hope and optimism where peace and unity reign supreme,” Tinubu added.
