Tinubu celebrates Shettima at 60, hails loyalty, service to Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Vice-President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a trusted partner whose life has been defined by service, commitment and sacrifice.

Tinubu, in a birthday message issued on Tuesday, said Shettima’s contributions as governor of Borno State and later as Vice-President had demonstrated courage, diligence, compassion and commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians.

The President congratulated Shettima’s wife, Nana, children, family and political associates on the milestone.

He also commended the Vice-President’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), support for the administration and commitment to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“His unwavering commitment to our nation’s progress and unity is particularly worthy of mention,” Tinubu said.

The President also praised Shettima’s role as Chairman of the National Economic Council, saying he had provided purposeful leadership in coordinating economic policies and fostering collaboration between the Federal Government and sub-national governments.

Tinubu said Shettima’s respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation had contributed to strengthening good governance.

“As a trusted partner, his loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty have remained invaluable to the administration,” he said.
