Tinubu celebrates Tunde Hassan-Odukale at 60

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid tribute to Mr. Tunde Hassan-Odukale, the former Chief Executive Officer of Leadway Assurance and past Chairman of First Bank, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, praising his remarkable impact on Nigeria’s financial and corporate sectors.

In a statement issued on Sunday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu lauded Hassan-Odukale for his visionary leadership and significant contributions to various industries, including insurance, banking, asset management, and information technology.

“With over three decades of dedicated service, Mr. Hassan-Odukale has been a beacon of excellence, reshaping boardroom practices and instilling confidence in Nigeria’s private sector,” the president remarked.

Hassan-Odukale, a distinguished alumnus of the University of London and City University, London, holds a degree in Pure Mathematics and a diploma in Actuarial Science.

He is a member of the Royal Society of Mathematics and the Pensions Management Institute. His credentials are further enhanced by advanced management training from Lagos Business School, underscoring his stature as a corporate leader.

As Managing Director of Leadway Assurance and Chairman of First Bank, Hassan-Odukale championed strategic initiatives that significantly strengthened Nigeria’s financial and investment landscape.

President Tinubu concluded his message with heartfelt wishes: “On this special occasion, I celebrate your outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s corporate world and wish you continued success, good health, and happiness.”
