Tinubu urges collaboration between states, FG, in agriculture, tax reforms

President Bola Tinubu, in his 2025 New Year address, urged governors and local council leaders to collaborate with the federal government on opportunities in agriculture, livestock, and tax reforms to drive Nigeria’s growth.

He commended states adopting energy transition initiatives, such as CNG-powered transport and electric vehicles, while pledging federal support for transformative policies.

Highlighting achievements, Tinubu noted reduced fuel prices, a stronger Naira, increased foreign reserves, and three consecutive trade surpluses. He also emphasized the stock market’s contribution to national wealth through increased foreign investments.

Key 2025 initiatives include:

National Credit Guarantee Company: Enhancing credit access for underserved groups.

National Values Charter: Promoting patriotism and unity.Youth Confab: Engaging young Nigerians in nation-building.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to cutting inflation from 34.6% to 15% and addressing living costs through improved food production and local manufacturing.

He urged Nigerians to transcend divisions and work together for a prosperous future, expressing gratitude for their trust and sacrifices.

“Together, we are building a Nigeria that works for everyone,” Tinubu stated, wishing citizens a happy and prosperous New Year.
