Tinubu commissions FCT road, says infrastructure driving transformation

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday declared that the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reflects the broader development taking place across Nigeria, saying his administration is replicating Abuja’s infrastructure renewal nationwide to drive economic growth and improve the lives of citizens.
The President made the remarks while inaugurating the newly constructed Collector Road C01 and its bridge in the Institution and Research District of Abuja. He was represented at the event by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Tinubu described infrastructure as a catalyst for economic development, saying investments in roads and bridges open up communities, attract businesses and create jobs.
“When you build roads, you open up districts. When you open up districts, you invite investment. And when investment comes, Nigeria grows,” he said.
He said the transformation taking place in Abuja symbolises the development agenda his administration is pursuing across the country.
“The transformation of Abuja is a microcosm of the transformation we are bringing to the entire Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the President said.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, Tinubu pledged continued investments in cities, satellite towns and rural communities to ensure that all Nigerians benefit from good governance.
He described the completion of Collector Road C01 as the fulfilment of a promise made under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We promised Renewed Hope. And today, as we stand on this newly constructed Collector Road C01, complete with its bridge, we are not just looking at the physical road; we are looking at a promise kept,” he said.
