Tinubu condemns Borno suicide bombing, mourns victims of Kano explosion

President Bola Tinubu has condemned the recent suicide bombing in Konduga, Borno State, describing the attack as a cowardly act perpetrated by remnants of the Boko Haram insurgency.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extended his condolences to the government and people of Borno State. He urged security agencies to intensify efforts to eliminate the remaining pockets of insurgents targeting innocent civilians.
The President also directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to provide immediate support to survivors of the attack.
In a related development, Tinubu commiserated with the families of those affected by an explosion at a scrap metal factory in Kano on Saturday morning. According to official reports, the blast claimed five lives and injured ten others.
President Tinubu stressed the need for strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and called on relevant government agencies to thoroughly investigate the cause of the explosion to prevent future occurrences.
