Tinubu congratulates APC Chairman Ganduje on 75th birthday

President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on the occasion of his 75th birthday, celebrated on December 25, 2024.
In his message, President Tinubu lauded Ganduje as a steadfast political ally and a trusted associate, commending his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to the progress of both Kano State and Nigeria.
The President highlighted Ganduje’s exemplary stewardship as APC National Chairman, which has contributed to notable electoral successes and fostered unity within the party. He praised Ganduje and his team for their efforts in driving the party toward the realization of national development goals.
Tinubu expressed gratitude for Ganduje’s policy insights, steadfast support, and tireless service. He encouraged the APC Chairman to maintain his passion and commitment to advancing constitutional democracy and public service.
Reflecting on Ganduje’s decades-long public service career, Tinubu noted his early role as a pioneer civil servant managing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), his tenure as a commissioner in Kano State during the 1990s, and his long-standing contributions to Nigerian politics.
Ganduje’s political journey began in 1979 with the defunct National Party of Nigeria (NPN). After the return to democracy in 1999, he served as Kano State’s deputy governor before being elected governor in 2015 and re-elected in 2019.
During his tenure as governor from 2015 to 2023, Ganduje implemented significant reforms, leaving a lasting positive impact on Kano State.
On this milestone birthday, President Tinubu joined family, friends, and party members in celebrating Ganduje’s resourcefulness, resilience, and courageous leadership.
