President Bola Tinubu on Saturday departed Abuja for a one-day official visit to Kebbi State, where he is scheduled to commission key projects and attend a major cultural event.

The presidential jet took off from the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 11:55 a.m.

According to a State House press release on Friday issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the visit includes the commissioning of projects executed by Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris.

President Tinubu is also expected to serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the 61st edition of the 2026 Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival.

The festival, recognised as one of Africa’s most vibrant cultural celebrations, is staged along the historic Matan Fada.
