Tinubu, Hon. Jibrin meet again behind closed doors

The lawmaker representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, on Sunday held another closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This marks his second visit to the President in less than two weeks. The meeting, which began at about 9 p.m., lasted nearly two hours before ending around 11 p.m.

While Jibrin did not disclose the details of their discussions, sources hinted that the talks may have revolved around the relationship between former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and the President, as well as growing anti-APC sentiments in parts of the North.

When approached by State House correspondents on the purpose of the meeting, the lawmaker declined to comment further.

Ten days earlier, during his previous visit, Jibrin told journalists that his engagement with the President focused on “issues of national development.”
