Tinubu presents Shettima to APC NWC tomorrow

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will present his running mate, Kashim Shettima to the National Working Committee of the party on Thursday (tomorrow).

Tinubu announced the former Borno State governor as his running mate after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at his Daura home on Sunday.

Shettima was made the substantive vice-presidential candidate after Ibrahim Masari, whose name was submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission stepped down from the contest.

WesternPost gathered that the party’s presidential flagbearer who had earlier met with the APC NWC after winning the presidential primaries last month will present his running mate to the leadership.

This, it is believed, will be followed by a former setup of a presidential campaign organisation for the party.

Tinubu and Shettima performed their first official function together when they attended Tuesday’s mega rally of the party in Osogbo, Osun State in preparation for Saturday’s governorship election, where incumbent Gboyega Oyetola will be seeking reelection.
