Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu to grace Olusi’s 90th birthday as Committee unveils 3-day programme

The Planning Committee for the 90th birthday celebration of elder statesman and Chairman of the Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC) Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, has unveiled a three-day programme.
In a statement by its Chairman, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, made available to Western Post, the committee invited family members, friends, political associates, traditional and community leaders, public servants, business leaders and other well-wishers to join the celebration.
The committee said the milestone offered an opportunity to reflect on Olusi’s contributions to Lagos and Nigeria, describing him as “a man of principle, wisdom, courage and commitment.”
“His journey has been characterised by service to humanity, devotion to community development and a deep appreciation of the values that bind families, communities and society together. Olusi’s life has been defined by leadership without arrogance, influence with responsibility, service without self-interest and success measured by the positive impact made on others.”
The programme will open with the Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi Annual Leadership Symposium, bringing together intellectuals, scholars, policymakers, political leaders, professionals and other thought leaders to discuss leadership and nation-building. The symposium will promote dialogue on responsible leadership and preparing the next generation to assume leadership positions with competence, integrity and vision.
A major highlight will be the unveiling of the Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi Educational Fund/Academy, an initiative to support education, develop talent and create opportunities for future generations. The committee said it reflected Olusi’s belief that the most enduring investment any society could make was in its people, particularly young people.
The second day will feature prayers and thanksgiving at the Lagos Central Mosque, where family members, friends, associates, religious leaders and well-wishers will gather for a special Juma’at service. Prayers will be offered for Olusi’s continued good health, strength, peace and many more years of purposeful and fulfilling life.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, will attend as Special Guests of Honour.
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, will serve as Chief Host, while Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire chairs the Planning Committee.
