President Bola Tinubu will on Friday travel to Kano State to condole with the family of elder statesman and renowned philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alasan Dantata, who recently passed away.
This was confirmed in a statement on Thursday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Tinubu’s visit is expected to honour the memory of the late industrialist, whose legacy of business excellence, philanthropy, and national service left a lasting impact on communities across Nigeria.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf described the visit as a “symbol of national unity and respect” for the people of Kano and the Dantata family. He urged residents to welcome the President warmly, in line with the state’s tradition of hospitality and reverence for leadership.
“This is a moment of solemn reflection and national respect,” the Governor said. “I urge all Kano residents to receive the President warmly and in an orderly manner, as he joins us in mourning one of our greatest elder statesmen.”
