Tinubu urges Nigerians to embrace unity, patriotism on Eid-al-Fitr

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, calling on them to renew their commitment to the nation and to humanity.

The festival marks the end of Ramadan, a holy month of fasting and reflection.

In his message via a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Thursday, President Tinubu encouraged the faithful to carry forward the values of the holy month—piety, empathy, selflessness, and unity—beyond Ramadan.

“We have a lot to draw from the noble lessons of Ramadan, especially at a time like this. We must continue to abide by the virtues of piety, selflessness, perseverance, kindness, and compassion beyond this period,” he said.

He also urged Muslims to extend acts of kindness to the needy, regardless of faith, as a demonstration of national unity, and tasked Muslim leaders to pray for peace, stability, and prosperity across the country.
