Tinubu urges unity beyond party lines to drive development

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Friday urged Nigerians to rise above party lines and foster unity as a means of enhancing national development.

She made this call during a meeting with traditional rulers and religious leaders at Lagos House, Marina.

The First Lady said the gathering was significant because traditional rulers are custodians of the land. According to her, the event was organized to brief them on her Renewed Hope Initiative programmes and to receive feedback.

Mrs. Tinubu also highlighted the need to expand access to education for young girls. She noted that the Alternative School for Girls, established 17 years ago, remains the only one of its kind in Lagos, stressing that more of such schools should be built across the state.
