Tinubu working to ease economic hardship by year-end, says Fadahunsi

The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Fadahunsi has assured Nigerians that the current economic hardship will ease before the end of the year, noting that President Bola Tinubu has started addressing citizens’ demands.
Speaking with journalists at his country home in Ilase on Tuesday, Fadahunsi acknowledged that the economic difficulties predated Tinubu’s administration but expressed confidence that the president’s policies would bring relief.
He highlighted a recent National Executive Council (NEC) meeting where the President directed governors to invest more in local areas, warning that any governor failing to do so would lose credibility due to the substantial funds allocated to them.
The Senator also advised Nigerians to embrace farming as a sustainable solution to hardship, stressing that adequate food availability would stabilize the economy and allow people to make better decisions.
Fadahunsi revealed that he has personally taken up farming and encouraged his constituents to follow suit, aiming to boost food production and eventually lower prices.
He said: “The hardship was planted long before Tinubu came. Look at where he governed as governor — apart from traffic, which results from population influx, there are no major issues with roads here, and the federal government’s presence is always felt.”
Fadahunsi added that Tinubu has approved road projects for the area, saying, “Before this rainy season is over, you will see machines on the road. He is a listening person, and the current hardship will decrease; by the end of this year, things will improve.”
Concluding, he reiterated: “Everyone should farm, no matter how small. Let food production rise so prices can eventually come down and ease the hardship affecting our people.”
