Tinubu’s 2027 campaign secretariat vandalised in Ibadan

The secretariat of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu–Kehinde Olaosebikan Grassroots Movement (PBAT-KO Movement) in Ibadan, Oyo State, has been vandalised by suspected hoodlums, with campaign materials destroyed and windows shattered.

The incident occurred on Monday at the movement’s office in the CICU Building, Olomi-Olojuoro Road, Oluyole Local Government Area. The movement is mobilising grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

In a statement issued on Thursday, October 22, 2026, the movement’s Publicity Secretary, Comrade Femi Omolola, said members discovered the damage when they visited the secretariat after the incident. He said campaign banners, boards and other materials had been destroyed, while some windows were shattered.

The movement alleged that suspected agents of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) were responsible for the attack. However, it did not provide evidence to substantiate the allegation.

Speaking while conducting journalists round the building, Omolola said the incident would not discourage members from continuing their political activities and mobilisation efforts in support of Tinubu.

“We are undaunted. We are totally committed. Nothing can stop us in our staunch decision to give our very best in support of the president,” he said.

The movement was established late last year by Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, a former chairman of Oluyole Local Government. Olaosebikan also chaired the Media and Publicity Committee of the Tinubu-Shettima All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council in Oyo State during the 2023 general election. Omolola said the group remained committed to its target of tripling the votes Tinubu secured in the state in 2023.

He also expressed confidence in Tinubu’s administration, saying the president had laid a solid foundation for Nigeria’s prosperity during his first three years in office. The statement did not indicate whether the incident had been reported to the police or whether any arrests had been made. The Oyo State Police Command had yet to respond to the incident as of the time of filing this report.
