Tinubu’s campaign chief, Jibrin, mulls plans to leave APC

The Director-General of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Support Groups Management Council, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has announced plans to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Jibrin caught many by surprise on Saturday when he tweeted it was “time to move on” from the APC.
According to the former House of Representatives member, his next political party would be revealed within the next 24 hours.
“I have done my best for APC. It’s time to move on. I will announce my new political party within the next 24 hours insha Allah. I will make a formal statement in due course. Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin,” the former legislator tweeted.
Just about seven hours earlier, the Kano-born politician had tweeted about his campaign activities for Tinubu and Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
“HON ABDULMUMIN JIBRIN KOFA CONTINUE POLITICAL CONSULTATION IN KANO in support of our great party APC, political aspirations of Governor Ganduje, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his good self in Kano. #EyeOnTheBall,” he tweeted earlier.
It is not known if Jibrin’s new move has Tinubu’s blessings.
