Tinubu’s Horse wins international racing competition

President Bola Tinubu’s horse emerged victorious at the ‘Hope Renewed 1st Year Anniversary Horse Racing Derby’ in Kaduna on Saturday, July 13.

The four-day sporting event began on Thursday, July 11, and concluded with the president’s horse, ‘Hope Renewed,’ winning the ‘Division 1 Thoroughbred’ race, covering 10 furlongs or 2,000 meters.

‘Hope Renewed’ won a saloon car, a cup, and ₦100,000 in prize money. The second position was clinched by a horse named ‘Sarauniya,’ which received ₦1 million. ‘Holiday Parade’ came in third, earning ₦700,000, while ‘Nawal’ took fourth place, receiving ₦500,000.

The event was organized by the Horse Racing Federation of Nigeria (HRFN). The closing ceremony was attended by the Life Patron of the federation and the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar.

The Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Ilyasu Bashar, was represented by the Sarkin Borgu of Ka’oje, Alhaji Ahmed Tijani-Anaje, and other dignitaries, including the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.
