Tinubu’s reforms freeing more funds for states, says Sunday Dare

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, says President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms are enabling greater investment in infrastructure and education across states, citing projects inspected by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Kogi State.
Dare made the remarks on Sunday during the ongoing National Media Tour, where members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the Presidential Communications Team inspected federal and state government projects across the state.
The delegation visited the Kabba Junction section of the Abuja-Lokoja Expressway, which connects to the Lokoja-Benin Expressway, as well as education, energy, health and road infrastructure projects in Kogi.
Speaking after inspecting facilities at the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Dare said the developments reflected the impact of the administration’s reform agenda.
“When you look at the cardinal points of the eight-point agenda of the President, education stands on a solid place in that list. There is no better testimony to what we have seen at the Confluence University of Science and Technology,” he said.
He added that investments in science and technology would strengthen Nigeria’s competitiveness in the 21st-century economy, noting that the projects also demonstrated continuity between the administrations of former Governor Yahaya Bello and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The Director of Administration at CUSTECH, Mohammed Ahmed, said the Federal Government, through the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), had funded the construction of the Faculty of Science Complex, Faculty of Environmental Sciences Complex, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences Complex, and the Faculty of Anatomy at a combined cost of more than N2.3 billion.
