Tinubu’s reforms will bring greatness to Nigeria- Sen. Abiru

The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, on Monday said the reforms embarked upon by the President Bola Tinubu led administration would make Nigeria great.

Abiru said that President Tinubu embarked on the reforms to bring succour to the poor, assuring that the pains of the reforms would soon be over.

The Senator said this at the Senator Tokunbo Abiru’s End of The Year/ New Year Food Packs Distribution to 10,000 households, held at Ikorodu Constituency office, and other LGAs under Lagos East Senatorial District.

He solicited the support of his constituents for the tax reform bills that are presently before the National Assembly, adding that ” These bills, when passed, will further strengthen our economy, and ensure a favourable climate for businesses to thrive for shared prosperity”.

Speaking on the distribution of the food packs, Abiru explained ” This initiative is part of my broader commitment to social welfare and the well-being of every constituent. Over the years, we have embarked on various programs aimed at empowering our people, including vocational training, educational scholarships, and healthcare interventions, facilitations of infrastructure, including schools, hospital, markets, youth centres, stadia, among many others.

” I am glad to inform you that this distribution exercise is going on simultaneously across various locations in Epe, Somolu, Ibeju-Lekki , Kosofe and here in Ikorodu. Let me reiterate that this distribution of food packs to 10,000 households is a humble gesture to ensure that every family can celebrate the holidays with dignity and joy. The demonstration of love also reminded us that no matter our challenges, we are stronger together”.

Earlier, a former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, eulogised the Senator for the initiatives, saying that his representation had better the life of the constituents.

Ogunleye said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is proud of the Senator, saying that his legislative contributions to debates in the Senate cannot be overemphasized.
