Vice President Kashim Shettima has projected a brighter future for Nigeria, attributing the country’s anticipated transformation to the bold vision and pragmatic leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking over the weekend during a courtesy visit by a delegation from Big Win Philanthropy, led by CEO Jamie Cooper, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Shettima said the Tinubu administration’s investments in healthcare, education, and other critical sectors are laying the foundation for a more prosperous and vibrant nation.

“In a couple of years, I am projecting a vibrant and better Nigerian society,” Shettima stated. “We are investing in healthcare and education — it’s a game-changer. With education, within a generation, the son of a pauper can become a celebrated icon.”
He applauded Big Win Philanthropy’s interest in partnering with the federal government and noted the alignment between the Foundation’s mission and the Renewed Hope Agenda. “I don’t believe in handouts but partnerships,” Shettima said. “We are seeking real partnerships that are win-win for the world.”

Highlighting the Nutrition 774 Initiative — a program aimed at tackling malnutrition at the grassroots — the Vice President reiterated the government’s determination to reverse negative health trends and unlock the potential of Nigeria’s youthful population.
“Nigeria is not a nation of scarcity; we are defined by potential, blessed with natural resources, but our greatest wealth lies in our people — young, dynamic, and determined,” he added.

Jamie Cooper praised Shettima’s leadership in confronting malnutrition and stunting in the country. She said Big Win Philanthropy is working with key ministries — including Education, Health, and Culture and Creative Economy — to create over two million jobs and boost local vaccine and pharmaceutical production.
Also speaking during the visit, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, described the engagement as a strong signal of growing confidence in the Tinubu administration’s direction.
