Tiwa Savage announces debut film
Multi-award winning songstress Tiwa Savage has announced plans to release her debut feature film amidst rift with Afrobeats star Davido.
Savage made the announcement on her official Instagram account on Wednesday, January 10.
“Guys, I am so excited to announce that my first feature film, ‘Water and Garri’ will be released this year through Prime Video and shown in over 240 countries and territories worldwide,” she began.
Continuing, she said, “This has been over two years in the making and is probably one of the most adventurous, fulfilling things I’ve done.
“I feel blessed and honoured not only to be making my debut as a lead actor, to have also executively produced this film.
“I honestly can’t wait to take you guys along with me on this next phase of my life and art…I’m just getting started.”
According to Savage, the film was directed by Meji Alabi and has Vanessa Amadi and Jimi Adesanya as producers.
