Tragedy as Oyo lawmaker Bamidele Adeola loses son

Tragedy has struck the family of Hon. Bamidele Adeola, a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju Constituency, following the death of his son, a 200-level student of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo.

The young undergraduate reportedly died on Friday after a brief illness, throwing the Adeola family, friends, and the university community into mourning.

Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, led members of the Assembly on a condolence visit to Hon. Adeola’s residence.

Ogundoyin described the incident as heartbreaking, noting that the death was a painful loss not only to Hon. Adeola and his family but also to colleagues and friends in the Assembly. He assured the bereaved family of the prayers and support of the legislature during the difficult period.

Hon. Adeola, surrounded by sympathisers, expressed gratitude to the Speaker and members of the public for their solidarity and support in the time of grief.
