BREAKING: Tribunal sacks NNPP’s Yusuf, declares APC winner of Kano governorship election
The Kano State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has voided the election of Governor Kabir Yusuf.
The tribunal in its ruling on Wednesday, ordered the withdrawal of certificate of return to Govenor Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and directed that a certificate of return to be issued to the APC governorship candidate, Nasiru Gawuna.
The court deducted 165,663 votes from total votes scored by Governor Yusuf on the grounds that the ballot papers (165,663) were not stamped or signed and were therefore declared invalid.
