Tunde Bakare reacts to zero vote at APC presidential convention

Pastor Tunde Bakare says he is not moved by his not scoring any vote at the All Progressives Congress presidential primaries on Wednesday.

Bakare said this in a statement he released.

According to him, he has done his own part in obeying God and would await God fulfil his own.

Bakare said he was happy he didn’t pay any delegate to vote him.

“My trust has always been in God not man. If I had my trust in man, then I would have been affected. My trust is in God. Whatever man would not do, it’s because God didn’t put in their hands to do. I don’t habour any ill feelings against anyone. If God remains our focus, everything else will fall in place.

“I have always told you that I am not running for an election but I will be running the election. I told you I am not looking for power, I have already received power. I only have gone ahead to offer myself and do my part in obedience, and wait for God to do His part.

“I am happy that I have passed the test of character by not paying any delegate. I passed the test of courage, of speaking the truth in the midst of wolves and of conviction of standing true to my beliefs. Those who will make a difference must be different.

“I have no question to ask God. The day I will have a question is if by May 29, 2023 someone is sworn in as President and I am not the one. That’s when I will ask God, and even then, He doesn’t owe me an answer, He will still be my God.

“So to all my friends and supporters. Let’s be calm and patient. It’s not over for a New Nigeria,” Bakare.

Tinubu emerged the party’s presidential candidate with 1,271 votes.
