Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, are scheduled to depart the country on Sunday for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.

According to the arrangement, some Europe-based professionals who made the final cut will join the rest of the squad on the way to the South American country.

The two-time silver medalists at the junior mundial will set up a World Cup training camp in Chile for two weeks before their opening game against Norway.

Saudi Arabia and Colombia are the other group opponents of the team.

Nigeria reached the quarter-finals of the last edition of the U-20 World Cup, hosted by Argentina two years ago.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup will take place between September 27 and October 19, 2025.
